Please tell me the real benefits of a Mac compared to a PC?

I've never used a mac, but my understanding is the advantages are:
* It's a more stable platform, less crashes
* Less a target for viruses and hackers
* More pleasant user experience
* Cooler looking hardware
This is opposed the traditional advantages of the PC
* More software available
* More diverse hardware choices
* Bigger user community
* Lower price for performance
I think much of the advantages and disadvantages stem largely from the fact that the PC market is like 8 or 9 times the Mac market in size.
Too bad Heidi's on vacation, she'd probably have some good input.

And of course one can't forget that the new 17" Macbook Pro runs Windows Vista faster than any other laptop. That still amuses the heck out of me!
I'm surprised Howard didn't chime in on this one.
