My desk is once again a disaster area as I begin to rebuild a system. I'm going to set up eBox on an old PC to have a dedicated firewall machine rather than just using the firewall included in my wireless router.
I don't think I can disable the firewall in the wireless router so I think I may run into a couple of issues with port forwarding etc but It should be fun to work through them if they do pop up.
Biggest reason for the project: I've never done it before :D

@Heather: I'm not at work tonight :D I just have to stay up all night to get back on schedule for when I go in tomorrow. This project should aid that effort. But, by all means, still feel free to have a margarita for me! As for my beverage of choice tonight it will be Russel's Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey. I've never tried it before so when I saw it on the shelf I figured I'd give it a whirl.

That happens to me all the time. As soon as someone gives me a machine to fix the desk becomes a disaster. I really need to build a workbench...hopefully soon!
BTW, depending on the router, you can bypass the firewall. I have a second WRT54G running as a wireless app, bypassing the internal firewall. Basically, disable DHCP and use one of the switch ports instead of WAN.
