Looking for a program to produce videos. Not super fancy but w/ some nice built-in templates. They are for commercial use and tend to get a bit wordy. Looking for a fairly straightforward program. I've done some in the past with Flash, but wondering about Adobe Premiere or other solutions. Any free or cheap solutions worth looking into or is Premiere a better choice? Any thoughts appreciated?

Might want to look at Premiere Elements first. About $80.

Not up on all the free packages, but there are some for Linux ... if I could just recall the names! Damn this old brain of mine. I'll remember it, oh, say around 3am when I should be sleeping. :)

Yep, I know the feeling. Yeah, I looked at it briefly. It may be enough to do the basic kind of editing that I need. Good thought.

    Thanks!

I'd have many more awesome suggestions if only you'd gone Mac last Fall... :)

Teasing aside, I've heard nothing but good things about Premiere Elements. It IS Premiere, with some of the more advanced tools pulled out. Might not hurt to check a comparison chart of the two.
