I hate to throw fuel on this fire but -
"Halo 3 only runs at 640p".

I'm sorry, but 1138×640 is not HD. The problem I have is that it says HD on the box (and everywhere else).
Now I LOVE Halo3, and this doesn't really bother me - it looks gorgeous, but these days you have to be upfront with the public. You can't sneak stuff by consumers anymore- you will be called out.
I can't wait to hear Bungie's explanation.
