Testing out Ping.fm. Somewhat confused by it.

    It's almost counter-productive, since your friends are already subscribing to the feeds they're interested in. Now if you ping multiple feeds, we'll get duplicates.

    I made this mistake by using the similar feature of jaiku. Do my friends really want me to aggregate multiple feeds for them? The answer is like the same as the one for "Do my friends really want me to duplicate posts to multiple feeds?"

    Yeah, I'm not sure. On the one hand, it is a way to make sure I update them all, so if you decide you only want to use one, you'll see my updates. On the other hand, I have to visit them all for the replies. On the other other hand, it's actually done a fairly good job of making sure I visit jaiku/pownce for replies.

    Does it make sense to ping different microbloggeries with different updates? I'm not sure.

    I'm definitely becoming a plurk-fiend, though... Even twitter is taking backseat to it at the moment.
